The Fertility Mentor - Let me help you navigate the process.
Sperm and egg fertilizationMy husband and I began our quest to have a baby in 2003.
We spent the next six years delving into the abyss called "unexplained infertility." During that time, our journey included:

Acupuncture for infertility
Blood issues
Clomid
Day 5 transfer / Blastocyst
DES daughter
Ectopic pregnancy / Methyltrexate
Embryo cell insemination
Failed IUI / IVF cycles
Fertility medications (injectibles / oral / suppository / patches)
Fertility therapy
Fibroids (surgery)
Fresh vs. frozen embryos
Gestational Diabetes
Hormone stimulation testing
Hysterosalpingogram
Hysterosonogram
ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection)
Immune system issues
Insurance vs. out-of-pocket
IUI (intrauterine insemination)
IVF (in vitro fertilization)
Liver issues
Miscarriage
New York State Grant
Ovulation issues / Metformin
Ovulation predictor kits
PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)
Pregnancy / live birth
Pregnancy testing (understanding the numbers)
IVF procedures (egg retreival / embryo transfer)
"Shared risk" program
Sperm banking
Temperature charting
Testicular cancer (surgery)
Testing (blood / sonogram / genetic)
Thyroid issues
Vericocele

Our miracle baby, Melanie PaigeWhen we approached our 10th and final IVF treatment, we literally put all of our (one) eggs in our basket. My fertility specialist assured me that "you can still get pregnant off one egg," after I questioned whether it was even worth transferring the one. As it turned out, this last embryo -- off to a slow and rocky start -- became our miracle, Melanie Paige (pictured at right).

I am here to say that you don't have to travel this road alone. I wish I had someone to help me navigate the process and help me understand what my options were based on my diagnoses. Let me help you alieviate the burden of finding the information you need to make the best decisions possible for yourself. I am committed to helping you become a parent, however that winds up happening.
